The Growth Mindset: Chapter 10

 Moonshots

Have you ever had a teacher that went above and beyond for your education? A teacher who spent a lot of time creating fun activities, games, assignments, etc. How about a student who dreamed big about everything he wanted to accomplish?

In order to have a growth mindset we have to shoot for the moon. We have to dream big and want these huge accomplishments to strive for and achieve. If we only try and achieve these basic ordinary things then our students will do the same thing. If we want our students to work hard and dream big and accomplish great things then we have to be that example for them.

It is very important for our students and us to take these Moonshot thinking and ideas. And they need a blueprint to think this way. An example from the book is the X formula. Find a huge problem, find a radical solution, and make breakthrough technology. If we can all start to think like this and have these Moonshot ideas we can all improve our growth mindset and accomplish so much more.
